I’ll be done with this planet soon and I should be glad
about it really. I mean it is NOT such a great place to be really. Okay the
idea of nothingness is a little unpleasant at first but not any worse than a
good night of sleep really or anaesthesia or any other form of unconsciousness.
But there are so many things to “fix” in life that yeah one
should be happy to quit this Sisyphean endeavour. The ignorance and bigotry and fear and pain
and greed and violence and what not, the hysterical drive to nowhere really.
7 billion who in 7 billion years will be nothing not even
sound and fury, nothing at all.
The waste of brain cells and opposable thumbs is staggering.
She should have died
hereafter;
There would have been a time for such a word.

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools

Entropy as you wish the fact that our best discoveries are
either channelled to or from military purposes is insane. The fact that we
spend trillions on war and balked on Medicare, the fact many actors and
athletes make millions while other starve. And a million other facts one could
add up. One could say yeah but there is good in the world and I can’t keep my
eyes off the rotten apple that spoils the whole basket.
The fact even that every bit of information we get is
twisted by money.
The fact it is impossible to study anything through
thoroughly since there is so much corruption to decipher especially when it
comes to medicine and nutrition among other things not mentioning pet theories
of the highest scientists who are attached to their pride and emotions and
prestige much more than the love of knowledge and truth and science.
The fact that gurus carry too much powers and their
followers bend the truth and that big money has to follow no matter what.
The fact that in an advance generation where we think of
modern as better, and boy are we wrong on that, knowledge is drowned, as Huxley
had predicted, and almost impossible to find now. The scholars, the polymaths of yesterdays are
long gone the scribes, the well- read, the knowledgeable.
The fact that it is impossible to achieve utopia now more
than ever. First of all a bloodless
utopia is totally impossible and secondly a bloody utopia is not utopia at
all. The fact that power is totally
unwieldable by humans should indicate we are hopeless. Power’s corruption is invincible.
I don’t know much about history (there is a song in there
somewhere) but it seems to me that maybe Marx had a good idea. It seems to me
that the French Revolution made, for a short time, changes close to perfection
give or take a few blood baths from la
grande terreur. I love an utterly non-religious world where even the names
of the days and the months have been changed to do away with silly mythology. The fact that all that factice power was
taken away for a time was just awesome.
But men cannot be ruled by reason, logic, intellect and what
not. Intellects, like Denis Arcand said,
make lousy parents to begin with. If
they push their rationality to its logical end anyway they would not have any
children.
All of yesterdays have lighted fools and all our to-morrows
and to-morrows, and to-morrows will just light more fools: Nobel Peace Prizes
with Drones and what not.
Guess I should be listening to dire straits now and ask
myself why worry.
But the amount of injustice is so staggering at times. Maybe not to me personally but still the
numbers speak for themselves and I have always been big on numbers. Maths is
the only truth some say, the universal language.
