Sufficient unto the year is the evil thereof.

Sufficient unto the year is the evil thereof.
Kings and Princes have abandoned their thrones and riches for a better life for a better world.
Now if I had the power and riches I am not so sure I would be so noble.
Even though a few of these kings I am sure have been conned out of their riches by greedy hypocritical monks and priests but that is another story.  Rasputin comes to mind here.
Quests for
The Holy Grail,
The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch
The Meaning of Life,
the Whys and Hows and the other 3 W's are all fruitless and bare.
There is a deep feeling in me that material is evil and leads to no good
even though it might have in some rare instances.
The lack of material however also certainly leads to unnecessary evils.
In this day and age where everything is brought DOWN to a price and a cost
I cringe and despair.
Surely life is more than bread and water, surely some things are still more precious than gold, priceless and all, eternal, ineffable, untouchable almost unreachable?
Certainly the "kingdom of god", nirvana, perfection, bliss or whatever you call your utopia your ideal is,
certainly
" the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy"
and all other virtues one can think of. Not only Bohemian virtues as some would see them because I have a feeling that the Bohemian Beauty is the one that fritters away like the petals of a rose but eternal internal beauty and love and peace and joy and WISDOM to be cherished more than gold, more than refined gold and rubies.
There IS Wisdom and there IS Righteousness and there ARE Virtues and There is Truth and there is Beauty and all that is good still exist somewhere if nowhere else nowadays than in old myths and stories.  The reason why these things seem of such a distant past is probably because there are very few and precious and get drowned and silenced and in numbers.  The pearls are getting dredged from the bottom of the earth and buried under a humongous pile of rubbish we call the world now mostly seen through greedy media where none of these old values exist they all have been bought and sold and bought again like Leonard Cohen's Holy Dove:  Sold to the highest bidding whore.
*Insert Big Sigh Here*
Why do I bother? Just to make myself belief  that I am better than others? that I am special? I would like to think it is not the cause of my longings but one never really knows oneself or another or anything in fact that is what epistemology is all about: the muddled soul cannot discover itself in the mud.
My water is unclean just like any water on this planet or waters as the Hebrew says.  My fountain is poisoned.
All fountains are getting more and more poisoned.  I would not know pure water if it hit me in the face.
O well it is my birthday in 2 hours and it seems a tradition to get a little more introspective at this time of the year.  Another year over and what have you done John Lennon?
Or maybe it is just a Capricorn thingy to be melancholic and taciturn? :)  Ok I USED to be taciturn but I think even my mother would deny that too.  I should be taciturn anyway. :)
As always no answer to anything and more questions but then again without questions one will never find the answer...hunger and thirst for righteousness one once said and seek ye first... tralalalala
Wherewithal shall an old man cleanse his way? By taking heed to which words?
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Sometimes I think each one of us take our blindness to the grave.
Because thou knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

10 Commandments of "Reason"

1.      Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2.     Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3.     Unite humanity with a living new language.
4.    Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
5.     Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6.    Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7.     Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8.    Balance personal rights with social duties.
9.    Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
Only problem is that "REASON" is not exactly a very accurate GOD either and leaves a lot to be desired.
What some call reason others call opinion or just a twisted lie appearing true but for personal profit as it often is in human affairs.

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

1. seems alright although it makes the UN LOW projection look very optimistic! :)

not mentioning going back in time
ONE THOUSAND YEARS
population in millions
1000
310
1750
791
106
502
163
16
2
2

We're talking major cataclysm here that make the Apocalypse look like a child story where only one third and one quarter was touched.
13 out of 14 DEAD

We're talking NINETY THREE PERCENT HERE of the earth actual population

Like Salieri would say How do you achieve that with your own hands? :)

2 Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

2  Guide? and Reproduce? and wisely?
You can only wish....

fuck knows some people should NOT reproduce

but mention Eugenics and you have
a Dystopia of Auschwitzian  proportion here

improving fitness???
Anyone else having visions of
Russia and China and Korea here?
Even an Orwellian 1984 maybe?

and diversity?
to quote Pauline Hanson here PLEASE EXPLAIN

3 Unite humanity with a living new language

We are told we HAD one language at one point in time and it didn't do shit, au contraire plus we do it is called English and more than 500 million speak it but even if it was Chinese or Hindi or whatsoever it still wouldn't help our madness.
While I am on the subject of languages

Guidestone languages
Below the two columns of text is written the caption "GUIDESTONE LANGUAGES". The names
of eight modern languages are inscribed along the long edges of the projecting rectangles, one
per edge. Starting from due north and moving clockwise around so that the upper edge of the
northeast rectangle is listed first, they are English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic,
What about French Bordel de Merde? Ostie de Tabarnak?

Language is not the problem here.

4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason
Again fancy words in fancy mouths
that in the end mean diddly squat,
Plato and the Republic and all that pre capitalist jazz.
In some sort of Vulcan way one SHOULD rule faith passion and tradition

in fact one SHOULD RULE THEM OUT
as they are always the beginning of trouble and tempered reason is snobbish shit in the human species.

5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts
On which planet? O.J. Simpson? or the thousands ethical or government or organised crime criminals who dies of old age in wealth and comfort?
What court do you send official and non-offical  (Forbes and non Forbes ) billionnaires  to? The Mubaraks and "political advisors" and lobbyists and crime bosses?

6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
no foreign affairs interventionism? No capitalist empiricism? Awwwwwwwwwwww!  :(
And I think we still have a few genocides on the loose and on the run IIRC?

7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Now that was a good  laugh.
Are you having a laugh?
You're having a laugh? Right?
Back in the old days of Hamlet now and most of the nations of the worlds with their corruption systems and bribes.  Gimme a BREAK will ya?
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?

8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
Again a whiff of right wing Republican self righteousness here and harshness and lack of compassion and mercy and what else and what not with the slightest wind of pride and greed.  We ARE NOT a BALANCED species, reason or not, most often not.

9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
I DO LOVE this one though! My Bohemian Rhapsody! My ideal idealism.
Easier said than done but I do love it.
but infinite is so so hard to define though :(

10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Ye all Japanese Whalers and the fishing industry and most corporations including my favourite Dow Chemicals and so many others.
It makes Paul Watson a fucking Oncologist!
If we don't hear the planet will heal itself and kill that virus we call the human race.
Off my soap box for now but 2011 is going with a bang :)

I alone am left aka The Elijah "Complex"

O well the last Elijah here!

Always a bit reluctant in front of a disciple of our modern day Jezebel LOL

(Zukav appeared more than 30 times on The Oprah Winfrey Show )

Zukav also said :

"Mathematics is the tool of physics,
stripped of mathematics, physics becomes pure enchantment.' "

Considering that some say Mathematics is the only Truth

stripped of truth physics becomes pure bullshit! :)

1Ki 18:22  Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

http://www.bestyears.com/midlife_depression_elijahcomplex.html

I don't have an Elijah complex anymore than I have a Superiority Complex
I AM definitely superior (insert endless maniacal laughter here)

Or as Alec Baldwin/ Dr. Jed Hill in Malice would say

I don't have a God Complex I AM GOD! :)

Jed: I have an M.D. from Harvard, I am board certified in cardio-thoracic medicine and trauma surgery, I have been awarded citations from seven different medical boards in New England, and I am never, ever sick at sea. So I ask you; when someone goes into that chapel and they fall on their knees and they pray to God that their wife doesn't miscarry or that their daughter doesn't bleed to death or that their mother doesn't suffer acute neural trauma from postoperative shock, who do you think they're praying to? Now, go ahead and read your Bible, _Dennis_, and you go to your church, and, with any luck, you might win the annual raffle, but if you're looking for God, he was in operating room number two on November 17, and he doesn't like to be second guessed. You ask me if I have a God complex. Let me tell you something: I am God.

Tracy: Ask God how many shots of bourbon he had before he cut me open.

Elijah! Narcissus! God!
Name em I've got 'em.
I AM THEM!
I AM MULTITUDE~!
I AM LEGION!

"My name is Legion, for we are many."

I am Walt Whitman and the Gadarene possessed man or
the Gadarene BPD as we would call him today

Mar 5:5  And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself, I am large, I contain multitudes.
~ Walt Whitman

Now IF I could only COMMAND Fire Down From Heaven...

* insert Big Sigh here *  :)

THAT would be so so nice...

I would recommend that you don't cut me off in traffic though
or drive 50 in a 70 zone :)

Boxing Day Wind aka SSDD

Mythology is a METHOD to understand  identify  traits within the human psyche
and use these archetypes to translate human experience.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head,

Man is not made for too many choices apparently, according to marketing, capitalism and a few more economics laws and that straight from the beginning.

Put one bloody wrong tree in the middle of the garden and to hell in a basket we go plus we are cursed with work and more lies that we can handle just for swallowing that first one.

One thing with the internet though is that it has turned the winds of doctrine into a Category 13 Hurricane on the Beaufort Scale and poor Don Quixote doesn't know anymore where to give head since all the windmills are now armless.

So where does one go for truth sapience and knowledge in this century?  Since any great invention apparently has a great tendency to turn ASAP into the most evil use of it that mankind can make. (Atomic Energy anyone?)  An awful lot of science and research money is spent in the so-called Ministry of "Defence".

WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, and IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH!

Why bother calling it Defence is beyond me.

It sure seems that the best defence is offense is a constant motto for filthy rich arm makers.

Lockheed Martin - We never forget who we're working for, or

Dow Chemicals or Kalashnikovs & Cie and  thousands more

who don't really care about your votes since they own all of your choices

Sex sells you think?

Wait,  Blood sells much better and for a bigger price.

Anyhow here is a little more of my Boxing Day Wind... more Hot Air and BS sent your way,

In Dow We Trust

If the devil existed or had a name I think he would be called simply Dow or Monsanto or many other corporations names.
The name Corporation itself seems to be quite malicious, greedily murderous and responsible for a lot of blood poured at times.

Union Carbide Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company.
Bhopal? remembered?  Countless other class actions and lies and deception and blood curling profit schemes hidden in the pit of darkness somewhere.

But Dow has the double dubious honour of being
the "Creator" of Napalm AND Agent Orange.  (Monsanto was also involved in Agent Orange)
It makes you want to boycott anything they ever touched and the list must be huge.
And a note should be given to DuPont and BASF as well.

BASF is cooperating with Monsanto Company in research, development and marketing of biotechnology

Monsanto is also the leading producer of genetically engineered (GE) seed; it provides the technology in 90% of the genetically engineered seeds used in the US market.[2] It is headquartered in Creve Coeur, Missouri.[3] I I
Isn't it Ironic? Dontcha think?

"Napalm is the most terrible pain you can imagine,"
said Kim Phúc, a napalm bombing survivor known from a
famous Vietnam War photograph.

"Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius (212°F). Napalm

generates temperatures of 800 (1,500°F) to 1,200 degrees

Celsius (2,200°F).

A US army source, talking about napalm, reported[16]
‘We sure are pleased with those backroom boys at Dow. The original product wasn’t so hot - if the gooks were quick they could scrape it off. So the boys started adding polystyrene - now it sticks like shit to a blanket. But if the gooks jumped under water it stopped burning, so they started adding Willie Peter (white phosphorus) so’s to make it burn better. And just one drop is enough, it’ll keep on burning right down to the bone so they die anyway from phosphorus poisoning.’

International law does not prohibit the use of napalm or other incendiaries against military targets,[15] but use against civilian populations was banned by the United Nations Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW) in 1980.[18] Protocol III of the CCW restricts the use of all incendiary weapons, but a number of states have not acceded to all of the protocols of the CCW. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), states are considered a party to the convention, which entered into force as international law in December 1983, if they ratify at least two of the five protocols. TheUnited States, for example, is a party to the CCW but did not sign protocol III.[19]

Such a nice  God loving
                      God fearing
in God We Trust Nation!  J

O Brave New World
O wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is!
O brave new world!
That has such people in it!

This line itself is ironic; Miranda was raised for most of her life on an isolated island, and the only people she ever knew were her father and his servants, an enslaved savage and a spirit. When she sees other people for the first time, she is understandably overcome with excitement, and utters, among other praise, the famous line above. However, what she is actually observing is not men acting in a refined or civilized manner, but rather drunken sailors staggering off the wreckage of their ship. Huxley employs the same irony when the "savage" John refers to what he sees as a "brave new world."

I think this is how it all started :) So much for the Xmas Spirit on Xmas Eve.

written yesterday or rather thought association put together roughly and typed

starting from the article in the Figaro and the trouble France is having with Turkey re the Armenian Genocide and then thinking of all the other genocides modern history and modern media so conveniently forget or ignore except ONE we keep hearing over and over and the only hate card and "hate" crime condemned... anyway the Vietnam bit was also interesting not mentioning Bosnia Rwanda and so many others
