Good for the Lord, Bad for my Ass! aka Penn Jillette, CATO & CIE.

What I call the extreme right wing, the do or die, the jungle law.

Who is to say that the trillions spent killing people would not be better used helping people?

the main subject today was, is, as always, something that I have been pondering for a long long time now.

If I was filthy rich would I still hold the same values I cherish today? I cannot tell you my answer until I GET filthy rich if I ever do a bit in the same way that I cannot give you an answer on abortion or euthanasia because one cannot buy personal experience, one has to make a PERSONAL decision when one HAS to cross that bridge otherwise I say mind your own business and stop being a hypocrite trying to control other people’s life.

A lot of those so called religious leaders and activists seem to have a rapist’s mind to me: it’s not about the sex it’s about the POWER, the CONTROL.

As a religious nut in the past I used to despise John Lennon’s Imagine song. Now that I am older I don’t despise it even though I think the Utopic Dream is foolish and hopeless on this planet but, unlike I just heard Penn Jillette call it, I wouldn’t say that it is Commie Shit.

Penn Jillette, Ayn Rand, Republicans, CATO, some so-called libertarians in a way I suppose, and all these extreme Fuck the People right wingers scare me. Do or Die. The Jungle Law and the survival of the fittest, work or croak, earn or kick the bucket or we’ll kick it for you even etc.

Some Libertarians seem to want the liberty to crush and kill and murder and plunder for profit. When most psychopaths are at the helm of corporations they want these heartless psychopaths to rule the world.

All those bean counters that prefer a profit over life, estimating a few deaths will be cheaper than a recall or a scandal.

So to test me all you have to do is give me a billion dollars and see if I will still refuse to show on Oprah! J

Or change my mind on society and government and Americans and the whole damn world!

Truth is I have never really been what they call financially independent but as it is said it does not make me a lesser person. One only has to watch The Unsinkable Molly Brown or read The Great Gatsby among thousands of others.

Truth is there is probably a billion reasons why I have never been financially secure as most of my kinfolks haven’t either.

My life story and my bipolarism added to a gazillion other factors have led me down a strange path and certainly down a different path from other bipolars, especially Stephen Fry who managed to succeed very well on that road, good on him.

But back to the Primary Principle here, The “Essence” of Communism/Socialism to me seems so much better for mankind than Wall Street Greed is Good Capitalism.

I mean I look at the UK, and France and Denmark and Sweden and a few others (Canada? Australia?) and life seems to be more “decent”. Especially Sweden with its no nonsense approach to morality as well. I already hear the foaming at the mouth cry yeah but SIXTY PERCENT? And I say Yes SIXTY PERCENT if we must.

What’s left on 60% off a million?

A mere poor 400 THOUSANDS to live on what a bloody shame it is.

Plus it seems to me also that a life spent on less earned and more enjoyed is not that bad. No worries about luck or health failing is priceless.

The problem with luck though and inheritance is that people foolishly think they earned it or deserve it.

Anyway I am kind of emotionally messed up on the issue since in a World a la CATO, Ayn Rand, Penn Jillette and Cie I would certainly not be here writing this since I would most certainly BE LONG DEAD.

I am not a politician, never studied politics even, just have a vague sense of what right and left mean, but what I do understand is a sense of life and justice as for that pursuit of happiness one should try it in China or India or Brazil even to see if it works.

I really like Penn Jillette don’t get me wrong he is an awesome human being with a great heart but his CATO approach annoys me and I always wonder if and if and if life hadn’t been so good to him, like it hasn’t for many Americans and other citizens of the planet, if he would still hold those foolish beliefs that I Call BULLSHIT! J

So basically I think one cannot have economical globalization without having the sweat shops and children and people abuse by the billions like a bad scene from Zefirelli’s Brother Sun, Sister Moon where Francis of Assisi is literally sick at the sight of poor people working for his dad in horrid conditions.

Economical Globalisation is only promoted by the rich for the rich so again and again the rich can get richer and the poor can get poorer and all Robin Hoods can be arrested now as Terrorists!

Economical Globalisation is heartless and soulless and taking us back to Feudal Mediaeval times: the Corporation as a Seigneur and Lord owning your ass.

Good for the Lord and Seigneur, very bad for my ass though.

Imagine there's no Heaven

It's easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us only sky

Imagine all the people

Living for today

Imagine there's no countries

It isn't hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion too

Imagine all the people

Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions

I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will live as one

the big honcho in the sky

Let’s say for the sake of argument, for rhetorical purposes, that the God of the Bible is real: He is The God, The Head Honcho in the Sky.

First thing I am not sure I could even describe the Head Honcho because he SEEMS to have some split personality problems especially in the transfer from the OT to the NT and even in the OT alone. Come on now tell us is it the application of the law and off with all the rebels’ heads or is it MERCY and COMPASSION all the time? So what’s with all the killing laws then and so on and so forth and so fifth?

Islam and OT at times seem to be almost Siamese twins to me and I don’t like either of them always coming back to hypocrisy and let he who has never sinned cast the first stone, not mentioning the foaming at the mouth self-righteousness and fanaticism. They should have kept the old Susanna’s story in Daniel’s book to prove that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Ok the softie in me prefers the forgive as and the let HIM decides who goes and who stays even if that rule seems a bit skewed too, Mafioso dying at 99 in his sleep and Johnny-Do-Good kicking the bucket quite early it SEEMS; Which always brings my MAIN prob with the atheist position: RETRIBUTIVE JUSTICE!!!

OK! The lion never gets RETRIBUTIVE JUSTICE for the antelope but for Christ’s Sake or anyone’s sake for that matter there has GOT to be a difference between all the Hitlers and Stalines of the World and the poor goody two shoes who hasn’t done that much damage in his short stay.

So OK Soul and Spirit CANNOT be VERIFIED but some Reason seems to demand for some Justice Somewhere, Somehow and at Some “Time”.

So it SEEMS again that so far I might remain an Ignostic and an Ignoranus (an ignorant AND an asshole) for a while. Not that I am likely to find any answer ever but conjurations and hopes beyond hopes.

And for now I say AMEN to that too SO BE IT. My only purpose SEEMINGLY again being to keep the search, the sempiternal A.S.K.: Ask, Seek, and Knock!

These polls are not scientific and reflect the opinion only of visitors who have chosen to participate.

NOT SCIENTIFIC? NOT SCIENTIFIC? You can say that again.

When 60% of the pollers (more like pollerettes I bet) voted that we, Australians, should pay 3 million dollars of our tax money to get the richest woman of America here.

Armageddon cannot come just fast enough.

Ok I know I will attack a Sacred Cow here, (God I love the pun!J) but what’s with the blind worshipping of the greediest goddess we ever had?

She gives so much they say. Give so much? Not from her deep pockets she doesn’t. Ever heard of SPONSORS? DUH! Easy to give away when it doesn’t come from your deep pockets and all you have to do is smile and bathe in the false glory like a hypocrite while you chew miserable people one after another and spit ‘em out when you’re done. And once they’re spat out and had their 15 mins of glory while the cow was cashing in they go back to their miserable world not any better than they were.

If I am to believe all we read the woman’s got a 1 million dollar a week shopping addiction and she needs our 3 millions? How fucking greedy can one sacred cow get for Christ’s sake?

I guess it’s as old as the world to have bloody and sanguinary and murderess goddesses. Let’s bring our miserable and virgins to her altar again so she can protect the next crop and burn me as a heretic. J

Paddy WHACK of biblical proportions

Paddy WHACK of biblical proportions

This old man, he played six,

He played knick-knack with some sticks.

This old man, he played seven,

He played knick-knack up in heaven.

With a knick-knack, paddy whack,

Give a dog a bone,

This old man came rolling home.

Methane emissions resulting from human activities are now thought to exceed those from natural sources, annual emissions being around 320 million tonnes. The main human-made sources arise from losses occurring during oil, coal and gas extraction, from ruminant livestock and waste treatment, from landfill sites, rice cultivation and biomass burning.

World methane production due to paddy fields has been estimated to be in the range of 50 to 100 million tonnes per annum.

Agriculture is responsible for an estimated 14 percent of the world'sgreenhouse gases. A significant portion of these emissions come from methane, which, in terms of its contribution to global warming, is 23 times more powerful than carbon dioxide. The U.S. Food and Agriculture Organization says that agricultural methane output could increase by 60 percent by 2030 [Source: Times Online]. The world's 1.5 billion cows and billions of other grazing animals emit dozens of polluting gases, including lots of methane. Two-thirds of all ammonia comes from cows.

First things number never lies but more than often numbers are twisted beyond recognition with everyone’s devious bias and fallacy and deception method.

Here certainly numbers don’t match as 100 over 350 is way over 14 percent. Even at the lowest estimate of 50 million tons, Rice paddies would be responsible alone for the 14% not counting the rest. That is assuming the 350 million tons figure is right to begin with.

But it is quite interesting though that there is no cows and no rice paddies in the media bullshit. There is always a hidden agenda somewhere.

As always I know nothing about nothing but one of the things I don’t know is a Nobel Prize does not make you Noble or even honest for that. The sceptic that I am always looks for a hidden agenda and for a money trail.

Obviously all this makes the “solution” ever more complex altogether. I have the feeling that nature and Gaia or whosoever will have to take care of its problems without or despite our help.

Culling is the word that comes to mind in that case. It seems more and more obvious that we never have and that we can’t supply for 7 billions of us, let alone the 9 billion predicted for 2045-2050.

Current projections show a steady decline in the population growth rate, with the populationexpected to reach between 8 and 10.5 billion between the year 2040[3][4] and 2050.[5]

Thoughout the thousands and thousands of years of civilisation there has never been such a growth.

Hell it took us til 1800 to hit our first billion ever. 1900 for 2 billion and I still remember the 3 billion of my school days in the sixties. But now the exponential growth is about comparable to exponential growth in atomic fission. Something’s gotta give.

Shit is bound to hit the fan one way or another as we keep raping the planet and overfilling it. And Nature can whip our skinny ass any fucking time She wants as we have all seen thousands of times.

Forces in play seem unstoppable, greed has turned into a starving murderous monster and bullshit is rampant. May you live in interesting time they said; well we sure have a front row seat to the fireworks of this eon. No need to line up at ticketmaster for this one. The biggest fucking Domino Effect is coming to a neighbourhood near you anytime now. . How high can a tsunami go at best on a good day? J

From what I hear about methane clathrate, the last BP “incident” could be a fire cracker compared to Hiroshima.

The biggest fucking OOPS you ever heard off.

And that is only one scenario; there are thousands of scenarios at play, known and unknown as what’s his name would say.

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.
Donald Rumsfeld

I must thank Liz Jensen and The Rapture for that line of thought but it sure is an interesting possibility along with all the other “believers” who think things will take care of themselves one way or another and that a bit like the dinosaurs our “footprint” on this planet might only be a buried fossil on a very thin layer of this earth. Pride cometh before the Fall but Greed will make it a much bigger fall of biblical proportions as they say.

‘Nuff said for now!
