10 Commandments of "Reason"

1.      Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2.     Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3.     Unite humanity with a living new language.
4.    Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
5.     Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6.    Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7.     Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8.    Balance personal rights with social duties.
9.    Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
Only problem is that "REASON" is not exactly a very accurate GOD either and leaves a lot to be desired.
What some call reason others call opinion or just a twisted lie appearing true but for personal profit as it often is in human affairs.

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

1. seems alright although it makes the UN LOW projection look very optimistic! :)

not mentioning going back in time
ONE THOUSAND YEARS
population in millions
1000
310
1750
791
106
502
163
16
2
2

We're talking major cataclysm here that make the Apocalypse look like a child story where only one third and one quarter was touched.
13 out of 14 DEAD

We're talking NINETY THREE PERCENT HERE of the earth actual population

Like Salieri would say How do you achieve that with your own hands? :)

2 Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

2  Guide? and Reproduce? and wisely?
You can only wish....

fuck knows some people should NOT reproduce

but mention Eugenics and you have
a Dystopia of Auschwitzian  proportion here

improving fitness???
Anyone else having visions of
Russia and China and Korea here?
Even an Orwellian 1984 maybe?

and diversity?
to quote Pauline Hanson here PLEASE EXPLAIN

3 Unite humanity with a living new language

We are told we HAD one language at one point in time and it didn't do shit, au contraire plus we do it is called English and more than 500 million speak it but even if it was Chinese or Hindi or whatsoever it still wouldn't help our madness.
While I am on the subject of languages

Guidestone languages
Below the two columns of text is written the caption "GUIDESTONE LANGUAGES". The names
of eight modern languages are inscribed along the long edges of the projecting rectangles, one
per edge. Starting from due north and moving clockwise around so that the upper edge of the
northeast rectangle is listed first, they are English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic,
What about French Bordel de Merde? Ostie de Tabarnak?

Language is not the problem here.

4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason
Again fancy words in fancy mouths
that in the end mean diddly squat,
Plato and the Republic and all that pre capitalist jazz.
In some sort of Vulcan way one SHOULD rule faith passion and tradition

in fact one SHOULD RULE THEM OUT
as they are always the beginning of trouble and tempered reason is snobbish shit in the human species.

5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts
On which planet? O.J. Simpson? or the thousands ethical or government or organised crime criminals who dies of old age in wealth and comfort?
What court do you send official and non-offical  (Forbes and non Forbes ) billionnaires  to? The Mubaraks and "political advisors" and lobbyists and crime bosses?

6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
no foreign affairs interventionism? No capitalist empiricism? Awwwwwwwwwwww!  :(
And I think we still have a few genocides on the loose and on the run IIRC?

7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Now that was a good  laugh.
Are you having a laugh?
You're having a laugh? Right?
Back in the old days of Hamlet now and most of the nations of the worlds with their corruption systems and bribes.  Gimme a BREAK will ya?
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?

8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
Again a whiff of right wing Republican self righteousness here and harshness and lack of compassion and mercy and what else and what not with the slightest wind of pride and greed.  We ARE NOT a BALANCED species, reason or not, most often not.

9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
I DO LOVE this one though! My Bohemian Rhapsody! My ideal idealism.
Easier said than done but I do love it.
but infinite is so so hard to define though :(

10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Ye all Japanese Whalers and the fishing industry and most corporations including my favourite Dow Chemicals and so many others.
It makes Paul Watson a fucking Oncologist!
If we don't hear the planet will heal itself and kill that virus we call the human race.
Off my soap box for now but 2011 is going with a bang :)
